Upgrade

Hello,

Well, even though spring is a busy time of year, we are still able to take some time to do things we enjoy. For me, one of those things I enjoy doing is playing guitar.

Recently, I was blessed with the opportunity to purchase a Blueridge BR-160 guitar at a discount price! It's retail value is $995 according to one dealer. Having a high quality insrument has inspired me to play more now, and I can tell it has made a difference in the smoothness of my playing.

Here's a short tune I played this afternoon. Enjoy!

Nice guitar! That is a pretty song. Would that be considered crosspicking, or regular flatpicking? I want to learn to crosspick. I think it has a fuller sound for solos. Regular flatpicking sounds good, but it needs a backup to sound full in my opinion.

Hi Graham,

That song is probably considered regular flatpicking. Each song can vary though, depending on the player. I too enjoy songs with the fuller sound that you get from crosspicking.

It is a lot more fun to crosspick a tune than to listen to it, so keep practicing and you'll get it down!

Great job! I love flatpicking guitar, but just started trying that method of playing, so not very skilled in it yet. :P
